Anonymous Rating Disclosure
Last updated: May 28, 2026
Transparency is central to how LeaderLens handles ratings. This disclosure explains the four core principles that govern every rating submitted on our platform.
Ratings Are Anonymous
- When you submit a rating on LeaderLens, your name and identity are never displayed publicly alongside the rating.
- Other users cannot see who submitted a specific rating. Ratings are presented as aggregate data only.
- While we store an internal user ID linked to each rating (to prevent duplicates and ensure data integrity), this ID is not visible to the public or to rated leaders.
- You are free to rate honestly without fear of workplace retaliation, provided your ratings are truthful and based on real experience.
Ratings Are Aggregated
- Individual ratings are combined into statistical averages to produce each leader's overall scores and trait breakdowns.
- A leader's profile only displays data after a minimum threshold of ratings has been reached. This prevents any single rating from being identifiable.
- Aggregate scores are recalculated in real time as new ratings are submitted, ensuring the public view always reflects the current consensus.
- Historical trend data is also aggregated and anonymized. Time-based insights show movement in scores, not the identity of any individual rater.
Moderation Exists
- All ratings are subject to automated and human moderation to detect fraud, spam, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- Ratings that appear fabricated, coordinated, or submitted in bad faith may be flagged, quarantined, or removed entirely.
- Accounts that engage in rating manipulation, such as creating multiple accounts to inflate or deflate a leader's score, will be permanently banned.
- If your rating is removed for violating our policies, you will be notified via email with the reason for the action.
Submissions May Be Reviewed
- In addition to automated moderation, LeaderLens reserves the right to manually review any submission that triggers our fraud or abuse detection systems.
- Manual review may occur if a rating contains unusual patterns, rapid submission timing, or statistical outliers that deviate significantly from the norm.
- During review, a rating may be temporarily withheld from public aggregation while we verify its legitimacy. This process typically takes 24-72 hours.
- If a rated leader disputes the authenticity of ratings on their profile, we may review related submissions to assess whether they comply with our platform rules.
Our Commitment to Integrity
LeaderLens was built on the belief that honest, structured feedback improves workplaces. We protect raters' anonymity, aggregate data to prevent identification, moderate for fairness, and review submissions when necessary.
